Nice’s nice new lounge

Nice airport is a place that I visit several times a year. I have always flown out of the Terminal 1 which is split into two sections. The A gates are those flights which are within Europe, and the B section is for those destinations outside the Schengen Zone.
All but one of my flights have been back to London so am usually to be found at the B gates. The airport has undergone a bit of a renovation in the last year to include a new security hall. Instead of having to go upstairs after check in and queue in a tensa-barrier maze, you continue at ground level straight into security and then head upstairs through duty free.

The Lounge has also had a bit of a make over and extension. Found at the back of the B gates, you access the lounge via the lift or spiral staircase. The deal is on the left and access is granted for BAEC Silver and higher or using the Priority Pass card with the AmEx Preferred Rewards Gold card, which offers 2 free visits and subsequent ones for £15 per person.

The old lounge is the same, save for the lick of paint. The extension is the the far right as you enter.

Another food and drink section has been added as well as a modern overspill area which is open to the terminal concourse.

This area has a range of seating options and is certainly going to be my preferred space when visiting in future.
