I am not a frequent flier – I just like to think that I am! In truth, I am a London-based Geography teacher with a love for travel. Since 2012, I have been actively collecting miles and points and using them to travel to places I wouldn’t otherwise have been, to fly at the front of the plane and to stay in some of the top hotels, all at a fraction of the cost.

I am not an expert, but I am interested in the whole business, and want to share that with you. So this is about people, like me, who are not frequent travellers, but want to be able to act like they are! It is a little bit of fun for me and I hope that you will enjoy it too.

The name, Mr Airmiles, comes from my father-in-law, who likes to tease me gently about my unconventional hobby whilst at the same time, asking me to act at the family travel agent (a task which I am more than happy to oblige him!).
