I received an email from Alitalia earlier this week to tell me of another promotion they are running. Basically, you can get 20% off flights when booking online until Tuesday 23^rd February for flights before the end of May 2016.

This follows last year’s status match, so they are obviously keen to attract customers. However, based on my experience last summer flying TLS-FCO-NAP//NAP-FCO-LHR where I left my iPad  and had to go back the next day to Rome from London to get it, I will not be taking them up on the offer. During 2 hour flight from FCO – LHR we were offered one soft drink and a biscuit, which is poor, seeing as you get a better level of service on the 30 minute hop from London to Manchester with BA.

50% off might make me consider it, especially as I could try out my Freccia Alata benefits, but at 20% I am not interested.
