After years of stuffing my clothes into a small suitcase with one broken wheel, I decided that it was time to invest in a new cabin suitcase. I had had lots of opportunities to travel with just hand luggage but my old suitcase was just too small. I did some research online and decided that I wanted a small cabin bag with 4 wheels and a phone charger to keep me powered on the go.

There are many options available, and you can spend anything from about £80 upwards. I settled on a bag from Horizn Studios. It is not a brand that I had heard of before, but I could only find good things online and with a 100 day no quibble return policy, I thought it was worth a shot.

The bag I got is The Cabin Trolley, and features a zipped mesh compartment on one side, and an open section with compression straps on the other. It has an expandable laptop front pocket and a twin USB charger in between the handle. I paid 199EUR for the bag just before Christmas on pre-order; it is not 299EUR.

I have taken the bag on a couple of trips, including a weekend skiing with all my ski kit, and a for a week in the Caribbean and it was perfect – plenty of space without  being too big. I love the 4 wheel spinner-style as it is so easy to glide round an airport, and it fits neatly into overhead lockers.

I got an email today advertising their newest bag, the Model H.
