The Easter holidays are not far away and, I am looking forward to attending the Geographical Association’s annual conference in Manchester.
I am staying at the Crowne Plaza at Manchester Airport which I hope will count towards my IHG Accelerate target.
Manchester Airport is home to one of British Airway’s Concorde following its decommissioning.
I have seen the one at Heathrow and in New York, as well as visiting the one at East Fortune near Edinburgh.
As I will have time and, being on my own, nothing better to do, I have booked tickets for the 0930 tour of Concorde on a Sunday morning. This is certainly a very geeky thing to do, but I am really looking forward to it and will report back on what it is like.
